During the month of June Balandros has been the place of reference for some haute cuisine days. In fact, several events were held in which the culinary art was vindicated with live demonstrations.
As usual, from our restaurant we support actions that promote the evolution of gastronomy, as we consider it as one of the values of the Mediterranean culture.
For example, on June 7 took place the practical course of haute cuisine taught by Cristina Figueira, owner of the restaurant El Xato in La Nucia. Cristina is also a trainer in the Master of rice and Mediterranean haute cuisine at the University of Alicante. During her demonstration, the flavors of our land were taught, but with a more novel and fresh air.
On the other hand, there were also different showcookings by Juanfra Valiente, creative of Quique Dacosta Restaurant, and Luis Valls, from the restaurant El Poblet. With these training sessions, our commitment to the culinary sector, which is becoming more and more renowned in our area every year, is evident. Also thanks to the recognition by UNESCO of Denia as Creative City of Gastronomy.
Haute cuisine training days in our restaurant
As has become customary in recent years, Balandros has become a venue for haute cuisine training through traditional concepts from a technical and globalized point of view.
The courses were developed in a theoretical-practical format. After the explanation of the different basic concepts, the chefs demonstrated their techniques live, making different dishes for the course attendees.
The different systems and creative processes in the world of cooking were also explained. Developing concepts and emphasizing the importance of the product, the territory and temporality to achieve excellence in the performance of work in the kitchen.
In addition, different techniques and applications were developed for snacks, fish and seafood, as well as for dough and fermentation processes.
It is important to remember that all these trainings were developed with the anti-Covid security protocols and the distancing measures were respected at all times. From Balandros Restaurant we are very satisfied with the result of these courses.
To end the morning the attendees and speakers had lunch in our restaurant and enjoyed one of the best views that Denia offers from the Real Club Nautico.
